More Ways to Celebrate

International Dinosaur Day only comes around once a year, so in true dino fashion, you gotta go BIG! We’ve trolled Pinterest and the interwebs to bring you a bite-sized list of ways to celebrate at home with your dino fans.

1. Get in character in a BIG way!
Pull out your best safari gear or make your own dino feet from cardboard…If you want to go next level, get inspired by these full cardboard dino ensembles – our Utahraptors would approve!

Pure fossil fuel for the soul. Your kids willlove pointing and clicking the targets to “walk” through the COSI AmericanMuseum of Natural History Dinosaur Gallery to find bones, dinosaur eggs, informative videos and much more.

3. What would a dino day be without dino crafts
Arranged from easiest to more challenging for older kids, check out some of our faves:

Whip up your favorite sugar cookie dough (or buy pre-made). Before baking, your child can press imprints with plastic dino toy feet (clean first!), or their own three fingers for T-Rex footprints!

5. Read some great Dino-Themed Books
We’re sure your kids know dragons love tacos, but do they also know dinos love to read (wink, wink)? So many great dino-themed books, but here are some our Jurassic Quest dino trainers especially love to read during storytimes:
